Math¶

$...$ is inline math, $$...$$ display math. Formulas are rendered to SVG with ziamath, so no TeX install is needed.

Inline math such as $e^{i\pi} + 1 = 0$ sits in the text.

Display math is centered:

\int_0^\infty e^{-x^2}\,dx = \frac{\sqrt{\pi}}{2}

\mathbf{A} = \begin{pmatrix} a & b \\ c & d \end{pmatrix}
$$

Display math is centered. A formula takes the colour of the text around it, for example inside a callout. A formula that fails to render is shown as code, and the export prints a warning.
