Hosting
All pages are hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to GitHub’s servers, including your IP address, the requested page, the time and your browser’s user agent. GitHub uses this data to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure, and stores it in server logs. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA. GitHub is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR). Details: GitHub Privacy Statement.
Cookies, tracking and browser storage
The websites use no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.
Some project sites store data in your browser (local storage, IndexedDB or a cookie): your chosen color theme and language, search settings of the documentation sites, and in the apps PunchClock, Tintplan and KioskSurvey everything you enter or create, such as working times, pictures or surveys. This data stays on your device and is not sent to me. It is needed to provide the features you use (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
The documentation sites of my command line tools show the star and fork count of the project. To do this, your browser loads these numbers from the GitHub API (api.github.com), which is run by the same provider as the hosting above.
Optional backup in PunchClock
PunchClock can back up your data to a GitHub Gist in your own GitHub account. This only happens if you turn it on and enter your own GitHub access token. The token and the backup go directly from your browser to GitHub. They are never sent to me. The legal basis is your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). GitHub processes the backup under its own terms and privacy statement. You can turn the backup off at any time in the settings, and delete the Gist in your GitHub account.
Contact by email
If you write an email, your address and message are used only to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and are deleted when they are no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply. Emails to apps.spenhouet@gmail.com are stored with Google (Gmail).
GitHub issues and pull requests
Reports, corrections and contributions are handled on GitHub. What you post there is public and is processed by GitHub under its own terms and privacy statement.
Links to other websites
The websites link to social media profiles and other websites. These are plain links. No data is sent to these services until you click a link. Their own privacy policies then apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Write to apps.spenhouet@gmail.com.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for the controller: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
