  • BANDA

Brain MRI with clinical and cognitive measures from adolescents aged 14 to 17 with anxiety and/or depression and typical peers, a Human Connectome Project study of how these disorders develop. 215 adolescents, 207 with structural, resting, task and diffusion MRI.

  • Baby Connectome Project (BCP)

Brain MRI and behavioral assessments of typically developing children from birth to 5 years, scanned without sedation to chart how brain connectivity emerges in early childhood. Structural, diffusion and resting-state 3T MRI from two US sites, shared through the NIMH Data Archive.

  • C-MIND (NDA 2329)

Brain MRI and behavioral tests of typically developing children from birth to 18 years, collected to build standardized methods and reference data for normal brain development, with structural, diffusion, functional and perfusion MRI including concurrent ASL/BOLD during language tasks.

  • EMBARC

Brain MRI, EEG and blood samples before and one week into treatment from a placebo-controlled trial of sertraline in major depression, built to find markers that predict who improves on an antidepressant. 309 adults with depression and 40 controls at four US sites.

  • HCP-Aging (Lifespan 2.0)

Brain MRI and behavioral data of healthy adults from their mid-thirties to over 100, collected to describe how brain structure, function and connectivity change across adult life. 725 people from four US sites with structural, functional, diffusion and perfusion MRI, via the NIMH Data Archive.

  • HCP-Development (Lifespan 2.0)

Brain MRI and behavioral data of healthy children, adolescents and young adults, collected to map how brain connectivity changes during development. 652 people aged 5 to 21 from four US sites with structural, functional, diffusion and perfusion MRI, via the NIMH Data Archive.

  • Infant Brain Imaging Study (IBIS)

Brain MRI and behavioral assessments of infants who have an older sibling with autism, plus low-risk infants, scanned in sleep from 6 to 24 months to find brain changes that come before signs of autism. Four US sites, shared through the NIMH Data Archive.

  • Iowa Longitudinal Study (NDA 2125)

Repeated structural brain MRI, symptom ratings and cognitive tests of patients followed for up to 18 years after a first episode of schizophrenia, to track how the illness evolves. 275 subjects from the University of Iowa in the NIMH Data Archive, 267 with images.

  • NAPLS 3

Repeated brain MRI, EEG, blood biomarkers and clinical ratings from young people at clinical high risk for psychosis and healthy controls, collected every two months to track how brain changes, inflammation and plasticity unfold before psychosis onset.

  • Hyperactivity/Inattention in Autism, NYU (NDA 1551)

Structural and resting-state brain MRI of children with autism, collected at New York University to study the brain basis of hyperactivity and inattention in autism, with diagnostic interviews and behaviour rating scales. Shared through the NIMH Data Archive as collection 1551.

  • NIH Pediatric MRI (NIHPD)

Longitudinal brain MRI with clinical and behavioral measures of healthy children and adolescents sampled to match the US population, collected as normative data for typical brain maturation from birth to early adulthood. Multisite, shared through the NIMH Data Archive.

  • NIMH Autism Subtypes structural MRI (NDA Study 1887)

Longitudinal structural brain MRI of young children with autism, non-autism developmental delay or typical development, from an NIMH intramural natural history study of autism subtypes. Defaced T1w, T2w, FLAIR, proton density and magnetization transfer scans in BIDS.

  • NIMH-IRP Data Science and Sharing Team collection

Structural brain MRI of psychiatrically healthy children and adults from nuclear families, plus densely sampled single-subject task fMRI, released by NIH intramural teams for normative modelling and image quality work. 447 shared subjects, 440 in the family sample.

  • Osteoarthritis Initiative

Yearly knee MRI and radiographs of adults with or at risk of knee osteoarthritis, used to study cartilage loss and disease progression and to train knee segmentation and X-ray grading models. 4,796 people aged 45 to 79 followed for up to eight years in the US.

  • PING

Brain MRI, cognitive testing and genome-wide genotypes of typically developing children and young people, collected to link genetic variation to brain structure and cognition across development. 1,493 people aged 3 to 21 at 10 US sites, shared through the NIMH Data Archive.

  • Infant caregiving brain MRI (NDA 2340)

Brain MRI of 3-month-old infants scanned in natural sleep, with mother questionnaires and observed caregiving, collected to relate early emotion circuitry to infant emotional behavior at 3 and 9 months and to maternal caregiving. Infants of young mothers from the Pittsburgh Girls Study.

  • UCI Fetal Programming of the Newborn and Infant Brain

Brain MRI of newborns and one-year-olds from a University of California, Irvine pregnancy cohort, collected to relate the maternal endocrine and immune milieu in pregnancy to infant brain structure and development. 118 children with shared images in NIMH Data Archive collection 1890.
