INDI Beijing Short TR
Beijing Normal University Short TR Sample (INDI)
Resting-state fMRI acquired twice per person, at TR 0.4 s and TR 2 s, with T1-weighted MPRAGE and 64-direction DTI, from 28 healthy college-aged volunteers at Beijing Normal University on a 3 T Siemens scanner.
Overview
The Beijing Short TR sample is a prospective release of the International Neuroimaging Data-sharing Initiative (INDI), contributed by Yu-Feng Zang's group at the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University. Each volunteer had a resting-state scan with a conventional repetition time and a second one with a very short repetition time. The pairing allows comparing resting-state measures from the same people at two sampling rates.
Composition
The release table lists nine packages with 2 to 4 people each, 28 healthy college-aged volunteers in total. Each person has two resting-state fMRI runs of about 8 minutes, a defaced MPRAGE anatomical image, a 64-direction diffusion tensor scan and demographic data. The packages are NIfTI archives. The page announced weekly uploads of 3 subjects.
Acquisition
The scan parameter pages give a Siemens TrioTim at 3 T. The conventional run has TR 2000 ms, TE 30 ms, flip angle 90°, 3.5 mm slices and 240 volumes. The fast run has TR 400 ms, TE 26 ms, flip angle 40°, 6 mm slices and 1200 volumes, both with 3.125 mm in-plane pixels. The MPRAGE has TR 2530 ms, TE 3.39 ms, TI 1100 ms and 1.33 mm slices. For the diffusion scan the release page points to the protocol of the Beijing Eyes Open Eyes Closed sample.
Annotations
There are no image labels. Phenotypic data are limited to demographics.
Known limitations
- The sample is small, and the release was organized in increments, so the total depends on the packages listed on the page.
- The diffusion protocol is documented only through the printout of a sister release.
- Sex and age counts are not stated on the public pages.
